DOU: Changing The Society

DOU is an organisation built by the

learned Daughters Of Ufia, to empower women in the community and bring out the changes needed to better the lives of the inhabitants.

Not to be confused guys, Ufia is a tribe spoken by certain individuals from the Middle belt in Nigeria. Benue state to be precise, the land in which they’re settled in is called Utonkon and that is located in Ado L.G.A, Benue state, Nigeria.

The DOU organisation is lead by the selfless comrades in persons of Mrs Agatha Urrah, Adalin Ejeh and others.

The organisation made it their duty to reach out to the young daughters of the land by visiting their schools respectively…this was made known to the public by Adalin Ejeh, who took it to her facebook page with the caption “A girl child like me…
A girl like me has clout
The adolescent girl has power
Power to be a woman of substance
A person of influence
Power to make change

A girl child like me…
I am the change of
A world of quality education, skills, training, lifelong learning
I am the change of
A world where everyone matters;
The vulnerable, the marginalized, persons with disabilities

The girl child has power
Power to change a world of violence
To a world of peace
A world safe for all
A world where the adolescent girl is safe
Is safe enough to realize her dreams
A world safe for me; a girl child like me
